The inspiration for my current work, was spawned from the year of the artists residency, which I participated in together with a small group of artists at Fishbourne Roman Palace, near Chichester in October 2002. The residency was of a site specific nature and a great opportunity for my work to move in a different direction.
 
I chose to interpret and reinvent the natural forms and images found in the grounds of the palace. Intreagued by a beautifully manicured box hedge, I wrestled with the idea of recreating it from waxed paper.
