The InSouthsea People Page is dedicated to those individuals who've put their own interests on the net, be they home workers, hobbyists or just people wanting to tell the world what a good holiday they've just had. If you live in Southsea and have a home page you'd like to see here,
. So far we have the following sites:-
|
|
Alex Anderson - My Struggle
This site is a powerful and moving testimony to Alex's struggle against Lymphoma. In it he has faithfully recorded the history of his fight against this terrible disease. As a Flash based site it is a little slow to load, but well worth the wait. Leave yourself plenty of time to read it all.

|
Francis Lovering - Control Draw Ltd
ControlDraw Ltd is a Southsea company with a global perspective, providing services and software
to the Process Industries. Francis, the founder, works with the control systems that are used in factories and refineries.

Tim Backhouse - Painter
Although Tim is a full time designer/director for Community Internet Services he
hasn't forgotten his past as a painter and printer. His personal site which explores aspects of Islamic and geometric pattern has just had a radical overhaul with a host of new images and theories. There are still prints for sale on the site.

George Marsh - Writer & Poet
George is a freelance writer who has worked as writer in residence at Kingston Prison and who was a major contributor to the Special Pompey Centenary paper produced by The news in 1999. His web site has been designed as a resource for teaching Haiku.

John Lacey
John has put a lot of work into his site which is full of information. You will find the history of Portsmouth as a whole and of individual places including practically all of the major tourist attractions.

|
Betty Burton - Novelist
Betty, who lives in Southsea, is now firmly established in the world of books, with a list of best-selling novels as long as your arm and a collection of short stories entitled Women Are Bloody Marvellous! Her books, which are largely set in the Portsmouth area, often reveal a hitherto unfamiliar view of life in bygone days.

Shaleylla's Handmade Cards
This website was designed to display and sell Shaleylla's Handmade Cards. Each design is very carefully designed and assembled, and made from the best quality stock. Most of the designs can be used for more than one occasion, so you will need to ask for the text that you require, to be put on your choice of card.
