InSouthsea Explained
Although InSouthsea has not had a major facelift for a couple of years we try to keep it up to date and in this we are helped by our visitors who often let us know when they spot something wrong. We check the entries and links on the site from time to time but inevitably we will miss important changes around us. Please be patient. We have made a particular effort to provide a simplified navigational structure whilst ensuring that visitors having an impairment of vision or motor skills can still easily find their way around. Details of the navigation conventions used on the site can be found on our Accessibility page.

We check the entries and links on the site from time to time but inevitably we will miss important changes around us. Please be patient. Other changes to InSouthsea include:-
- The site is now written in the XHTML language as a precursor to a full XML version with all formatting controlled by Style Sheets
- To avoid some of the confusion experienced by visitors, the former 'Services' section has been amalgamated with the 'Shopping' section
- Part of the 'Welfare' section has been removed pending a comprehensive review in conjunction with Portsmouth Council of Community Services
- Our 'Newsletter' has been temporarily suspended. We will however retain a list of those who have signed up so they can be automatically included when the service is resumed. If you wish, you can still sign up for it on our Newsletter page.
- The 'Search' boxes have been moved to the top right hand corner to free up more space on the right hand bar.
- A 'Print This Page' facility has been added. Each page has now been configured so that print-outs will only include the unique content of the page. To see what we mean check out your 'Print Preview'
- We are now charging £20 + VAT per annum for links to business web sites. All revenue raised from these links will be used to pay workers to keep this site up to date (if you fancy helping, drop us a line). Non-profit making sites will still get their links free of charge, as will businesses whose web sites are hosted by our sponsors, Community Internet Services.
